The festive season is all about warmth and comfort, and what better way to celebrate than with a delicious homemade granola? Our take on this classic breakfast dish combines the festive flavors of gingerbread and cranberry sauce with the added crunch of our chocolatey water lily seeds.
To start, gather your ingredients:
250 g rolled oat
50 ml maple syrup
100 g dried cranberries
2 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp ginger powder
Zest of an orange
Fresh seeds of a pomegranate to garnish
Preheat your oven to 200°C and mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
Be sure to coat the oats and cranberries evenly with the maple syrup and spices.
Spread the mixture onto a baking tray lined with non-stick baking paper and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Once done, remove the granola from the oven and let it cool down outside of the oven to prevent any moisture from forming.
Now that your granola is ready, it's time to get creative with toppings! We recommend pairing it with your favorite yogurt, topping it with our chocolatey water lily seeds for extra crunch, and garnishing with fresh pomegranate seeds.
