World Health Day : How cycling nourish your mind,body and soul - Oh Lily!

On the occasion of World Health Day 2022 we have invited our friends from Flit to explain us how cyclying is good for you and mother Earth. 

World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7th to raise awareness of global health issues. This year's theme is "Our Planet, Our Health," which focuses on the impact of climate change on human health. Cycling is a great way to help improve our planet's health and our own wellbeing. Cycling helps to reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, while also providing a healthy form of exercise. It is estimated that if everyone in the world cycled just 20 minutes a day, we could save over 1 billion tons of CO2 each year. This would be equivalent to taking more than half a billion cars off the road! So let's get cycling this World Health Day and improve our planet's health - and our own!


Flit hihlights the fact that London drivers spent an average of 6 days stuck in traffic in 2021, and air pollution continues to be the single biggest environmental health risk. At FLIT our mission is to revolutionise how we get around, helping to make our cities happier, healthier places to be. We do this by developing lightweight folding ebikes that are designed from scratch to be electric, and engineered for flexibility.

Cycling is a great way to get some exercise and fresh air, and it's also good for the planet. But did you know that cycling can also be good for your mental health?
Studies have shown that regular cyclists have lower levels of anxiety and depression, and higher levels of self-esteem and life satisfaction. 

Cycling is a great way to improve your mental wellbeing. It releases endorphins, which make you feel great, and reduces levels of the cortisol stress hormone. cycling also helps improve sleep, so you'll feel rested and ready for the day ahead. cycling is a great way to get some exercise, fresh air, and sunshine, all of which are important for good mental health. So get out there and enjoy a ride!
